TVNZ New Blood Web Series Competition / Year Two
TVNZ is excited to announce year two of the New Blood Web Series competition.
Last year saw Ashleigh Reid and Isla Macleod take home $100,000 to produce their web series, Oddly Even, set to launch Thursday 17 May on TVNZ OnDemand.
This time round, we’re asking hopefuls to submit written proposals rather than pilots, opening up the competition to more people.
Additionally, TVNZ is hosting a one-day workshop for the top 15, giving them the chance to learn under the mentorship of industry experts.
TVNZ’s Digital Commissioner, Amie Mills, is excited to offer ongoing support throughout the process:
"The local industry is calling out for more opportunities to foster creative talent and the Web Series competition provides another training ground and chance for our brilliant storytellers to tell uniquely Kiwi stories. We can’t wait to see what pilot New Zealanders will choose to join Oddly Even as a full series on TVNZ OnDemand."
A judging panel including Ngahuia Piripi, Thomas Sainsbury and Luci Hare will select the top 5, who will receive $5,000 to produce a pilot. The public will then vote for their favourite and the winner will be granted $100,000 to produce a full series.
