In Burnley, the owner of the Rosehill House Hotel is keen to sell up the family business which would put his manager daughter, out of a job. Alex must cull corridors of clutter and battle high emotions if she’s to prove she can help turn things around and persuade dad she’s got an answer to the ailing hotel’s woes.
In Ilfracombe, Alex arrives at the Devon Bay Hotel incognito and gets and uncensored view warts and all. She’s horrified to discover the 51-bed hotel is about to begin a busy season of coach parties with two rookie managers. Alex wades in to see if she can turn around the hotel and its newbie managers and make this hotel a success.
Alex fails to see the funny side when called to the flailing George pub with rooms in West Sussex to help wannabe entrepreneur Chris and long-suffering partner Leisha and their baby boy. Can she get Chris’s butterfly brain to take the business seriously and get The George on track and into profit?
Alex faces a tough battle at the Gipsy Hill Hotel in Exeter as she tries to convince the shrewd accountancy trained owner to release the purse strings and let her manager daughter take on the 37-bed business, which is currently under threat from the nearby competition.
And unable to resist a desperate plea and a trip to France, Alex heads to the Pyrenees to help Mike and Joss who have invested heavily setting up a high class, cyclists only retreat to find the wheels are nowhere near rolling when it comes to filling the rooms!
