Welcome to Taskmaster - a comedy game show created by British comedian Alex Horne and originally produced by Avalon, that tests the wiles, wit and wisdom of a group of hyper-competitive comedians with an assortment of baffling and bizarre assignments. After nine hit seasons in the UK, it’s time for us Kiwis to give it a crack with a brand-new local version coming to TVNZ 2.
The all-powerful Taskmaster sets five top Kiwi comedians a series of bizarre, and often ingenious, tasks, pushing them to the limits of comic invention. With their personal possessions up for grabs, they have everything to play for - including their dignity.
