You’re invited to New Zealand’s biggest dinner party when cooking show phenomenon My Kitchen Rules New Zealand returns to TVNZ 2 with celebrity chefs Pete Evans and Manu Feildel at the judging table!
Having eaten in hundreds of homes across eight series of ratings titan My Kitchen Rules in Australia, Pete and Manu will travel New Zealand to meet new teams of home cooks in TV’s most hotly contested cooking competition.
The timers are set and the heat is on as six new dynamic teams dish up the drama and battle it out for $100,000 prize money.
When the MKR doorbell rings this year, each team will take turns to transform an ordinary home into an Instant Restaurant for one pressure cooker night. They’ll plate up a three-course menu designed to impress the judges and their fellow contestants.
The five teams with the highest scores will then step up to the plate as they take the cooking competition on the road and into commercial kitchens, showcasing Kiwi produce and cooking for some of the country’s elite before the final two teams go head-to-head in the ultimate cooking showdown. Guest judges Nadia Lim, Ray McVinnie, Sean Connolly and Tom Hishon join Pete and Manu at the grand final to decide who will be crowned My Kitchen Rules New Zealand champion 2017!
In the opening episode, the heat is on as the competition gets started in Rotorua with best friends Tash and Hera.
