Join New Zealand’s favourite culinary sisters for season two, as they delved head first into the local food scene often fascinating and diverse destinations – and ten wildly different cuisines to experience.
But the journey isn’t just a discovery of food. In all the countries they visited, Karena and Kasey found that through a common love of cooking they were able to connect with people on another level.
This time, destinations include the Andean mountains of Peru, the spectacular islands of Hawaii, the mountainous east coast home to the indigenous tribes of Taiwan, the hustle and bustle of downtown Buenos Aires, the welcoming hospitality of the Irish and the breath-taking tea plantations of Sri Lanka… to name a few!
Like last time, the sisters will spend four days learning as much as they possibly can about the local food and culture before putting their own spin on local culinary traditions as they cater an event or meal for a group of locals.
Armed with an uncommon gift, Karena and Kasey again step way outside their comfort zone to brave an ambitious global gastronomic journey. Karena and Kasey’s cooking alone is enough to win hearts but their wonderment and humour is the real gift of this series.
