The Heat is on!

Beverly Hills Cop is an hilarious comedy of a tough, hard-hitting Detroit street cop who takes matters into his own hands when a murder investigation takes him to the ultra-chic community of Beverly Hills.

Detroit police officer Axel Foley (Eddie Murphy) is in hot water when a self-assigned undercover scheme with two petty criminals named Carlotta (Frank Pesce) and Mirsky (Gene Borkan) backfires. He endures a great deal of kidding from his fellow cops, particularly Jeffrey Friedman, and especially infuriates his boss, Inspector Todd. This is one more in a series incidents where young Axel Foley's enthusiasm for law enforcement has outweighed his judgement.
